The MVP Titans open up their football season in Salem tonight vs the McCook Central - Montrose Fighting Cougars. Kickoff will be at 7pm. The game can be found online at https://www.cougars.liveticket.tv/ There will be a tailgate with walking tacos before the game from 5:30-7:00. Fans are being asked to park south of the complex near where the bus will be parked. There is very little parking on the north side, so this will be the easiest entrance and the closest to our bleachers. Go Titans!!

Mount Vernon School would like to welcome Deputy Van Horn to our school! Hello, I am Deputy Austin Van Horn with the Davison County Sheriff's Office. I have been in Law Enforcement for about 7.5 years. I am the School Resource Officer for the Sheriff's Office, and will be working with both the Mt Vernon and Ethan schools. This position is a new position for the Sheriff's Office that we are excited to get up and going. My primary duties will be to assist the school's in whatever capacity they need throughout the year. You may see me at morning drop off's, afternoon pickups, out at recess or at sporting events. I believe that working with children is crucial in today's world, and making positive impacts on our youth. I am also a mentor with Big Friend Little Friend in Mitchell.
