The Mitchell Public Library invites all students to participate in their summer reading program and summer events.

Pre-K students have been playing with the lemonade stand for Dramatic Play for the last few weeks of school. They asked to be able to make REAL lemonade too, so we did!
We partnered up with the 4th grade class to help us calculate all supplies and totals needed to serve a lemonade to each student. 4th graders and Mrs. Klooz helped us set up the shop outside during last recess and aided the Pre-k students in serving.
We served a lemonade to students in grades Pk-5 during last recess. Students were able to receive a voucher to our lemonade stand if they were "caught doing the right thing", thankful to our awesome kids, I think we were able to serve everyone!

Pre-K students earned a GLOW day for fantastic effort put forth in their learning this year! We used a multi-sensory approach to review shapes, letters, and words with our play-doh. We did a write the room with highlighters, played "I Have, Who Has" with our teen numbers, rolled the dice to add one more, and are now having a glow nap! 😎 Almost, too much fun!

2nd Grade welcomed Trooper Samantha Pulse to our classroom. She spoke to students about the importance of wearing seatbelts. She also showed them all the equipment she uses with her job. The students learned a lot and were very thankful!

This group of 8th graders finished up their first day of business. They are selling yogurt cups with fruit and granola as part of Mr. Kristensen's Future Smart class. The 8th graders are taught financial responsibility and get to create business ideas that are presented to teachers in our version of "Shark Tank"! The winning group then gets the chance to operate their business and donate their earnings! They will be open again next Tuesday. Congrats girls on a great first day!

1st graders were able to have Donuts with Dear Ones this morning! We invited our dear ones to enjoy some breakfast and a story with us on our last Friday of the year!
